coronary arteries supply the heart
muscle with vital oxygen and nu-
trients. If the blood flow through
these arteries is restricted or blocked,
angina, severe damage, or death to
the heart muscle occurs. "This is
known as a heart attack." In most
cases, the condition which blocks
the blood and oxygen supply is ath-

Hope Action & Care
Hello everybody, today I would
like to talk with you about SCAB IES.
Scabies is a contagious skin disease
caused by a mite (Sarcoptes Scabiei)
that is so small that you can not see it
without using a microscope. This
mite has eight legs and is related to
ticks and spiders. The female mite
borrows in the outer layer of skin.
She digs tunnels, laying eggs during
her two months life span. After the
eggs hatch, the mites come to the
skin's surface, mate, and the cycle
begins again.
The main signs of scabies are itching
and a rash. The mites do not "bite."
The itching and rash scabies is a
reaction to the mite, eggs and fecal
deposits in the burrow. In a person
who has never had scabies, it may
take a month or more between the
time of exposure and symptoms ap-
pear. In a person who has been ex-
posed to scabies before, the rash and
itching may begin immediately.
The rash may b e over the entire
body, or it may involve parts of the
body such as the trunk, thighs, or
other areas. The rash is the body's
reaction to the mites. It can occur
even in the areas where the mites are
not located. The average person witch
scabies has only 10 to 12 mites over
the entire body. Most mites usually
are found somewhere on the hands
or arms, often in areas between fin-
gers. In adults the sex organs of men
and the breasts of women are com-
mon places to find mites. The sca-
bies mite does not burrow in skin
with active oil producing glands. This
is why scabies will not be found on
the face and scalp of an adult In
young children* scabies mites may
be found on ahy part of the body,
including the face and scalp.
Scabies almost always is passed
from person to person by frequent
skin to skin contact. Scabies mites
are often passed between family
member or people living in the same
house. Sleeping in contact with a
person who has scabies is the most
