This is the day wihich the Lord
hath made; we will rejoice
and be glad in it."
The Bible says, "This book of tbe
law shall not depart out of they
mouth: but thou shall meditate
(Joshua IzSJ.
Good success is a way of life that
comes from being established in the
Word of God. It comes from
spending so much of your time and
cm the Word that it
and I could call
"second nature.” It comes from
*V0tearing and obeying the Word so
consistently that it begins to guide
your actions even when you're not
consciously thinking about it .
As I studied the Word I learned
ing on what I needed to do. I thought
about it day and night I was getting
excited about what I was reading.
Tbe Word became "second nature"
tome.
Practice meditating on the Word
that way. Let it become part of your
life.

The Way I See It
by Henrietta Griffin
(This article is a reprint of a pre-
vious article)
Today we face the challenge of
competing 'crises' in our homes,
communities, churches, society, na-
tion, and religious beliefs.
Crisiscould well be added to death
and taxes as that which will surely
take place. Sometimes crisis is sin-
gular; oftentimes crisis comes in
many fashions as has been the case in
the past few days here in our own
homeland and in our communities as
well.
In the face of such competing cri-
ses, it is possible to become con-
fused, angry, and bitter. Many well-
meaning people have asked how
much they can endure in the face of a
calendar filled with crises.
Many dread the newscast or the
headlines in the next newspaper be-
cause they are aware if it is bad news
it can rob them of time and energy.
Ignoring crises as if they do not
exist is not the answer. Facing the
competing crises is the place to start.
Dealing with each crisis honestly
gives direction. If those persons in
leadershippositions were honest (and
truthful) and had a general concern
for all of the people, they would make
people their "major” and not their
"minor"....a stepping stone to higher
ground.
No human beings will ever be able
to solve all of the world's problems,
or meet every challenge of compet-
ing crises, but the one that's better
qualified and are willing to sacrifice
will come closer.
There are a lot of unanswered
questions in all of our minds. Why?
Who? Did it have to be this way?
Why didn't they do it this way? Why
now? Why them? And the list goes on
and on. But until people can make
wise choices and the right persons are
in places in our government, in our
homes, in our churches, I am afraid
that the list will only get longer.
That's the way I see it.

In 1988 I did the hair weave for this Black man and white woman in 1988, so
I am not a beginner. If you need a hair weave, it doesn't matter who you are, for
T do everybody's hair.
Check with me, young operators. I have ten booths available. Don't be
guessing about hair weaving. I'm the only licensed instructor for hair weaving
in the State of Texas. I want to get a list of young women ready with hair
weaving. I'm Lessie Caraway; see me on regular TV, channel 52, from 2:30-
3 P. M. on Thursday. We are going to begin a short seminar on hair weaving
on Thursday on television. I have made "Who's Who in the American Beauty
Field" in 1989 and 1990.

This lady came in my shop
crying, now she has a head
hill of hair
Time is out for this to happen to
people. The lady in the picture went to
a beauty salon where she had previ-
ously had a Jberi Curl. The operator
put a permanent on her hair, and this
was the result.
We have women coining out of
beauty school who really need help
with hair weaving and braiding. I'm
looking forward to doing just that. I
would be so kind to let people know
how not to come out with this kind of
trick on their hed. This lady came into
my shop crying, but she left with a
smile and a head full of hair.
