These big and noble patriots
of Montgomery county are
bringing up the ammunition—
good things to eat —Jrom every
part of its liberty loving sur-
face, and if you haw * not
kicked in yet, do so at once,
and don’t be one of those
"tight wads’’ or a bit donation-
er for this big free barbecue
given by everybody of thi
county for the soldier boys.
You subscribed liberally for
liberty bonds, because you
were not put anything, got in-
terest on your money, free ad-
vertising, etc., you assisted in
the Red Cross and other chari-
ties, and now your patriotism in
its real fineness is ut stake, if
you really appreciate what the
boys did over yonder and it
your patriotism is full of the
real American spirit ami blood,
you will go down deep to assist
in making this one of the most
successful barbecues you ever
attended. We need you and
we want you to get in the game
cheerfully, and you will if that
real American blood is right.
Will the soliciting commit-
tees report to M. Kimonton the*
progress they are making so I
can give a more definite write-
up of what is going on in next
week’s paper. Let us have re-
ports frm each precinct in the
county by Monday if ^oseihlc.
I want to ask the soldiers
and sailors to get in touch w ith
fhnr comrades and write them
of the barbecue, ask them to
comt and be sure and wear or
bring their uniforms dor the oc-
survey,Jcipdnn as imperial cjuurtesies will
be how it fhoAe hf uniform .
.Some of you write that lug
nobleman, Lieut, Hawkins, the
man who took you away and
brought yoH buek hh be said he
