Alto’s 1882 One Act Play
entry in the District 18AA
competition has been
chosen and has begun prac-
ticing according to Faye
Nell Rogers, drama coach.
This year’s play is
“Never Saw Another But-
terfly” by Celeste Raspan-
ti.
The play is set during the
1940's and students are
having a hard time getting
costumes especially shoes.
If anyone has any old
clothes or shoes in simple
styles, please contact Miss
Rogers.

Dean’s List
Charlie A. Granstaff of
Alto is among the 1,318
students whose 1981 fall
semester grades earned
them places on the Dean’s
List at Southwest Texas
State University.
To qualify for the Dean’s
List, an undergraduate
student must have earned a
grade puinl average uf at
least 3.5 during the
semester while taking at
least 12 semester hours of
course work.
