THE ZOO
by Lucille Delgado
We went to the Exotic zoo on our field trip. There were a lot of
animals there. It took a long time to get to the Exotic Zoo. There
are over 80 animals at the Exotic Zoo. There was a giraffe
named Jake and the gemsbok antelop and a kuba and a
springbok. We also went to the petting zoo there were also lots of
animals in it also. One of the animals that I was feeding didn't
want my food but it wanted my shirt. The deer were cute. And
there was a bobcat. We also saw a spider monkey and we saw
an animal that was named Baba and he wasn't scared. It was
very hot there also. It was probaly over 90 degrees. There was
also a fox and the fox was in a cage. There was a porcupine that
was in a cage also. We saw a zebra there too. I had lots of fun at
the zoo ! ! !
THE FIELD TRIP
by Oren Draznin
My class went to the Exotic Resort Zoo for our field trip. I saw a
lot of animals. These are some of the animals I saw: a bobcat, a
jungle cate, a giraffe named Jake, a spider monkey, a bfeon, a
camel, rabbits, four horned sheep, Grevy's Zebra, peacocks,
ostriches, and axis deer. We saw all of these animals on the tour
of the park where a lady on a tractor pulled us around while we
sat in a. But you had to. We were sitting on an open bus with no
engine. We had to be careful or the camel would eat our cups
that the food was in. At the petting zoo I fed a lot of animals too.
During lunch the spider monkey ate Jeffs sandwich. After lunch I
bought a toy pig that walked. I liked the zoo. It was a fun day
i-
and I learned a lot. <

OUR TRIP
by Mackenzie Haag p.
When we went to the zoo we first got to go to the petting zoo.
We got to pet all kinds of animals. When we went on the tour the
first thing we got to see was the 4 horned sheep. Then we got to
see the addax, aoudad, and axis.
After all that we got to see the buffalo and the longhorn and the
camel. And finally after all those animals we got to see the red
deer and the python. Then we got to eat lunch at the park. It was
funny when the spider monkey took Jeffs sandwich. After we ate
we got to see the bobcat and the jungle cat and we also got to go
to the gift shop. I bought my mom a plastic rabbit. And then we
went back to school. After a few days I started to dream about
that python. It was a scary, scary dream. I wished I wouldn't
dream about it because I was afraid. But yesterday I stopped
dreaming about it. I want to go to the zoo again.

When I went to the zoo the animal I likes was the Eland. The
Eland is considered the largest of all antilopes. It lives in the
Native land of Africa and weighs 1000-2200 pounds. I liked the
giraffe it was really cool it's name was Jake. I really liked him! I
liked the longhorn they called Tiny Tim, but I didn't think he was
so tiny he was neat. I liked the deer they were cute and nice. H
liked the Bobcat he was neat. They were all neat. But I liked the
zebra most of all. 'Vi ■ • r c

THE EXOTIC RESORT ZOO ANIMALS
by Hannah Leinweber
The Gemsbok Antelopes=He is the thoroughbred of the
desert...Energy,} Strength, Endurance are the keynotes of his
conformation. ;>:rV
Greater Kudu= African super exotic that has a 20 year life-span
in captivity but only 7-8 years in the wild. Horns grow as large as
5 feet long.
Springbok= when alarmed will leap into the air as high as 10 feet
and erect a row of white hair on its back.
Grevy's Zebra= the largest of the 3 species of zebras. Still on
the endangered list but herds in parks are growing continuously. I
had fun at the zoo. There was over 500 animals arid over 80
species ! I would like to go back to the zoo with my family.

THE ZOO
by Jamie Nigh
The Eland is considered the largest of all the anteolpes he is^
from Africa and weighs 1000-2200 pounds. Grevy's zebra are the
3rd species of zebras. They are still on the endangered list, but
herds in parks are growing continuously. My favorite animal at
the zoo was the monkey because it took Jeffs sandwich away
from him and ate it. It was funny, but it scared me when the
monkey tried to eat the plastic. I was afraid that he was going to
get sick. The people at the zoo had told us that the monkeys
could get sick if they ate plastic. But finally a man got in the pen
with the monkey and got the plastic away from him. I wanted to
ask Jeff if he wanted some of my food, but. kdidn't because he
might of said no, so I didn't ask him. When we ate lunch I had
some little nachos that had some sause and cheese to go with -
them. I also had crackers and meat with cheese, a Sprite, and a
banana. While we were at the zoo we also saw 2 bobcat's, one
was realy mean because they had found it there. The other one
was nice. After we ate our lunch we played on the swings and
then we went to the store and Mrs. Kneese bought me a card. At:
the zoo you could feed the animals but I didn't like feeding the
animals because they slobbered all over me !
EXOTIC ZOO

On our field trip my class and I went to the Exotic Zoo. At the
Zoo I took pictures of the animals. I also petted the goats. I liked
the black, white, gray and brown goats the best. We saw bobcats
in the cage. I saw some deer playing arownd. It was fun at the
zoo. We got on the bus and went back to school and packed our
backpacks. Then we got back on the bus to go home.
THE EXOTIC RESORT ZOO

On Friday, May the 8th, my class and I went to Junction to the
Exotic Resort Zoo. At the zoo we saw a Grevy Zebra- the largest
of the 3 species of the zebras which is still on the endangered list
but herds in parks are growing continuously.
Eland- are considered the largest of all the antelopes. They are
from native land-Africa and weigh 1000-2200 pounds. Afrian
Ostrich- are the largest of all the birds.
It is the only bird which has 2 toes and weighs from 200-350
pounds. My favorite animals were the water buffalo, camel and
the giraffe. I liked the water buffalo, too because they have curly
horns and stay in the water. I like the camel also, because it has
a hump on its back and you can ride it. The giraffe was really
neat because it has spots and it is very very tall. We also saw an
island which was named Monkey Island. I hope I can go again
some day!
Our Trip to The Zoo
by Jeremy Tatsch
Last Friday our class went to the zoo where we got to feed all
the goats. Some of the goats were scared and they would just
run away from me. Then we went to the next pen, we could not
feed the goats in that pen because they were just little babies.
We got to ride around oil a trailer that was being pulled by a little
tractor for an hour. The lady who was driving us around on the
trailer talked about the animals. She told us what the names of
the animal were. Then we ate lunch at the zoo picnic area. Soon
it was time for us to go back to school. When we got back to
school we finished our Mother's Day gift and then we went home.
The Zoo Trip
by Michael Trapp
My favorite animal is the Bobcat. It can reach 2 feet out of the
cage. I like the Jungle Cat, Fox and the Porcupine. Why didn't
the Kangaroo jump? What did the Mexican Red Headed Parrots
look like? What was the little goat's name? What can we fee the
Spider Monkeys? What is a Ring Tail Cat? Do they chase their
tails? The Red Deer is beautiful. Why didn't Jake the Giraffe
come to us? Why is the White Tail Deer Afraid? What is a
ChoeoJateVFallow? Can I corn!? over there and shoot an Elk?
Does the Spotted'Fiflow^tify spotted forever? What is an Emu?
Why can’t we pet the Racoon? What does the 4 Horned Sheep
look like? Can we keep the Addax please? I have never heard of
a White Dali Sheep. What is a White Fallow? I want to see a
Toulousse Goose. I wonder what an Eland looks like. Can you
show us?
The Zoo
, by Ashley Vaughn
At the zoo I like 9 animals there names were Bison, Camel,
Eland, Ferret, Giraffe, Junge Cat; Rabbits, Zebu, and the Ostrich.
They are all nice but the nicest was the Camel but he had bad
table manners when we fead him he took are big cups of fead and
ate it all in my hriind. I that he was a pig but i did not say anying I
new I wood make him mad then we left and went home.
The Exotic Resort Zoo
by Melanie Pascarella
The largest bird is the Ostrich. I have an Ostrich and it has two
toes. When you feed them they all come up to eat. One time it
pulled my hair ! And their chicks are so cute. I have a chick of
my own but he is taller than the other. I named him Chirpy
because he chirps a lot. Red Deer are from New Zealand they
are slightly smaller then the elk. Males develop beautiful horns. I
don’t know if we saw them or not but they must be nice. Their
horns are brown. And their bodies are red. Their hoves are
black. Bontebok is one of the most coloul in Africa. They are
light brown, black, dark brown and white. Their horns are like a
V. They have light brown on their knees. They have white by
their nose and their horns are brown.

The Exotic Resort Zoo

There are over 500 animals and over 80 species at the Exotic
Resort Zoo which is located 4 miles north of Johnson City on Hwy
281. One of the bears thought that he could rule the zoo but one
of his horn was missing. A longhorn named Tiny Tim had the
biggest horns in the zoo. The spider monkey stole Jeffs sack
lunch which had plastic in it. The spiker monkey is going to get
sick but a man went in the cage to get the bag from the spider
monkey. We got to pet the baby goats. Mrs. Grissom got a
picture of me and a baby goat that was on top of me. There was
a buffalo wrapped his tongue around my hand and it was slimy. I
fed the ostriges and they bit my finger it hurt. There were 3 foxes
there they were laying down in their cage. There are peacocks
spreading their tails apart to show how beautiful they were. There
were also two snakes and a baby pink rabbit. We saw a water
buffalo, and a 4 horn sheep and we saw a girafe named Jack, and
a zebra there too. There were baby goats that was scared of me.
There were small bears and big bears there. We got to eat by the
bobcat and the junglecats. There was a kangaro laying down on
the ground. There where female peacocks that were white. We
had fun playing on the tire. Ben, Michale and I played tag aroud
the benches.
