Ulf var en dukitig skid&kare och

from our congregation during July
and August, having recently been
accord-eid the privilege of preach-
ing in a vacant congregation, Mar-
ti-nsburg, W. Via., which- is about
an hour’s drive from where his
daughter, son-in-law and grandson
live. This is a little rural church in 1
the Shenandoah mountain range.

Second Setting—Sunday ,July 5
On the sixth Sunday after Trin-
ity, July 5, we will begin the use
of the second setting of the litur-
gical service. Except fqr the pe-
riod of time we have accustomed
ourlselv-es t-o the first setting, the
secO-nd setting is the one we have
used since the new hymnal and
service book has been used in our
church.
The Rev. A1 Anderson, chief
chaplain at the Austin State Hos-
pital, will be our pulpit guest this

Victor Jacobson received the
said news May 30 that his son-in-
law, Arthur Lax, had passed away
in a Taylor hospital following a
heart attack. Mr. Jacobson left im-
mediately for Tayl-or and Elgin,
accompanied by his grandson, Paul
BOl-dt of Dallas, and two of hd-s
daughters.
Those who left Monday to attend
the funeral were Miss Goldie Ja-
dofoSon, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Jacob-
son and sori David, Mr. and Mrs.
Aaron Roper and Richard1, Mrs.
Norma Kuhlman, Mrs. Herbert
an outstanding senior athlete of
1963-64. His father was a former
star athlete for the Brady Bull-
dogs.

Her veil was a band- of orange
blossoms which were worn by her
mother at her wedding. She car-
ried a cascade of white roses cen-
terd- With a white orchid.
Mrs. J. L. Cas'sens of Houston,
sister of the bride, Was matron of
honlor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. W.
W. S. Wloimiadk of Houston and
Miss- Sylvia Thorne. Their dresses
were in shades of rose satin with
full skirts- accented with a large
bow in the back. Headdrels-ses were
rose satin bo-Ws and they carried
long stemmed White rosebuds and
ro-ses.
Best man was Robert Strand of
Madison, Wis., brother of the
bridegroom. Ushers were Richard
Nord, brother of the bride, and
Glen Hoode of Madison, Wis. Hugh
Bage-n, Hartford City, Imd., and
Kent Hill, Madison, Wis., were
groomsmen.
Mrs. Wesley Nord, mother of
the bride, wore a light blue sheath
With matching accessories. Her
corsage was White carnation. The
mother of t he bridegroom, Mrs.
Frydenlund, chose a gold color
rose sheath With matching acces-
sories -and a white carnation cor-
sage.
For travel the bride wore a two-
piece dress of light bljte With White
accessories and a white orchid
corsage.
The couple will be at home at
206 Lake Edge Blvd,, Madison,
Wis.
Following the ceremony a re-
ception was held at the church.
The serving table was laid With a
white ruffled cloth decorated with
small pink roses. The three-tiered
wedding cake was topped with a
miniature bri-d-e and groo-m.

sions of the Georgetown District
will be held m Mt. Sequoiah, Fay-
etterville, Ark„ and1 Mrs. Tom
Holms-trom Sr. will be a delegate.
Mrs. Holmstrom was recently in-
stalled at a meeting in Temple as
president of the Woman’s Society
of Christian Service of the- entire
district, an-d Tenth St. Church is
very proud of having one of its
members as top* officer. Mrs. Hiolm-
stro-m is to be commended on such
an honor.
Mrs. Ernest G. Johnson and
Miss E-llen J ohn-son of Round- Rock
visited East Lake Drive Rest Home
and also the Geo. Nelsons last
Sunday evening.
June 14 there Was a reception
after- evening service in the new
Education Building honoring the
Rev. Kenneth Bass family who be-
gan their third year of ministry.
Tenth St. Church is very happy to
welcome them back.
Letters have been received in
Taylor telling of Dr. Frank Lund-
-berg scholarship to be originated,
and the writer wishes to know
something of its origin. Maybe
Rev. Oscar- Linstrum or some of
Texas Posten’s readers could ex-
plain same, including the eligibil-
ity of contributions, as I feel there
are many who would like to con-
tribute besides “Sandebude-t’s” sub-
scribers, and the Swedish Semi-
inary students who became mis-
sionaries under hi-m>,
Mrs. Hugo Lindquist, who had
the misfortune of breaking her hip
on Good Friday, is recuperating
in Will O’Bell Nursing Home in
Bartlett, and is able to come home
on weekends in Wheel chair to at-
tend showers for her only daugh-
ter, Lois, who will become the
bride of Mr. Dta-n Bittner in July.
They will reside in Austin.
