A Good Run.
Chas. Cook was appealed to yes-
terday to go to Yoaknm and bring
down Rev. P. M. Fitzgerald, who
had been delayed there by a wreck
that caused him to miss connection
wirh the Sap train, and he pnlled
for Yoakum at a late hour.
Though it had rained np that way
and the roads were in bad shape
for auto travel, Mr. Cook arrived
in time for Mr. Fitzgerald to preach
last night, and brought along Mrs.
Sherman, Miss Sherman and the
two little Shermans, who were
also left in Yoaknm as they were
on their way home from Marlin,
Mr. Fitzgerald says the auto can
run in fbe mad and water and make
good time for it did it yesterday
afternoon. The Urge audience as-
semble last night appreciated the
kindness of Mr. Cook, as did the
preachers, who were each dodging
the responsibility of preaching, as
neither had expected to do so.
And, Mr, Sherman and family
were especially grateful.
