Let’s Pull for That New Road.
The recent'convention at Aran-
sas Pass resulted in the formation
of a committee of citizens to raise
bonus and otherwise stimulate in-
terest in the proposed north and
soalh road, which it is understood
will touch at Goliad provided our
people desire it. At different
places local organizations have
been perfected and the matter of
soliciting a bonus is under way.
We suggest that Goliad should
no time in gett ing in on this deal
We need and must have that road,
and to get it we v mast dig np,
which fact might as well be' recog-
nized now as later, and before it is
too late. Most of the routes pro-
posed xtrike through Goliad, but
but when the actual building be-
gins Goliad will certainly not be
in It, unless we have made the
proper showing. We suggest that
the merchants association take
the initiative and call a mass meet-
ing of the citizens and property
owners of Goliad and vicinity for
the purpose of taking the necessary
steps to secure Goliad a position on
the road.—-Goliad Advance.

whom she came in contact with.
While her relatives realized that
her life eras near to an end several
weeks ago it did not lessen the
grief any to snffer the loss of such
a noble lady as Mrs. Taylor. She
