By
Rita, Unogwu; Jasmine, Russell & Luissana, Cardenas
The following interview with Becky Diaz shows how a small town Latina moved up in her
career from a time when the broadcast industry was male dominated to the present where there
are more women in the industry than it has ever been. Still a male dominated industry, Ms. Diaz
through hard work and persistence retired in 2014 as the Vice President/General Manager of
Univision Television Group, after almost 20 years of dedicated service. She considers herself a
"go-getter."
