PROGRESS CIRCULATION NOW
.COVERS THIS AREA LIKE DEW
The completion of the circulation
campaign on June 9. which was com-
menced on May 4, has caused The
Aransas Pass Progress to hit the
■“saw-dust" trail of converts to the
Inner Circulation Service, of Chicago,
’who conducted the campaign through
.their courteous and efficient represen-
tative, Mr. Ralph E. Higgs. The Prog-
sress management had always been
skeptical of circulation campaigns
-and held aloof from overtures of many
•concerns desiring to put one on.
In the face of the tremendous indus-
trial activity now going on in Aransas
Pass area, we especially desired to
Slave a complete “eommunty cover-
age.' which could only be obtained
by an aggressive campaign for new
■subscribers. To this end we thov
oughly investigated the methods and
responsibility of the Liner Circulation
Service and be’ng satisfied of their
'responsibility u eery way and that
all eainpa gns were conducted strictly
in accordance with the Federal postal
laws, we turned them loose.
The results were most surprising
The immed ate area of The Progress,
besides the -city of Aransas Pass, in-
cludes Port Aransas, Ingles*de anti
. the truck and vineyard section con-
tiguous, Gregory. Portland and Bay-
. side iill of wshicli have no newspapers.
1 These points, ineludmg a large number
< of employees now engaged in indus-
■ trial actiydles, were covered almost
cen:. In addition a generous
circulation was put on in Taft, Sinton,
Rockport and Corpus Ohristi. This
gives The Progress probably the larg-
est bona-fide paid-up circulation of
any weekly newspaper published in
South Texas and qualifies it for the
ABC list for national advertisers.
The generous response of the public
in this great circulation drive, in
which they “said it with dollars,’’ is
a matter of great gratification to the
management which will make im-
provements from time to time as
business conditions will permit—that
will keep The Progress in the fore-
front of the progressive area which it
represents.
To those who have renewed their
subscriptions and to our new friends
added to our mailing list we wish to
thank you on 'behalf of the candidates
as well as ourselves.
We also desire to express apprecia-
tion to the Liner Circulation Service
and to their representative Mr. Ralph
E. Higgs who conducted the campaign
fairly and honorably.
