THE ARANSAS PASS PROGRESS
Mustangs Trample
Sundeen Eagles
The Ingleside Mustangs took an
early lead by scoring two touch-
downs in the first quarter and
held doggedly to the margin
through three hard fought quar-
ters to defeat a strong Sundeen
eleven by a score of 14-0 last
Friday afternoon. Played on the
soggy Sundeen gridiron, the game
was the second conference loss
for the Eagles and eliminated any
hopes they might have for a pos-
sible district championship.
The first Pony score came soon
after a short Eagle punt died on
their own 25. Working from there
the Mustangs on a series of line
plays drove to the 2 and Bobby
Belser, Ingleside back, plunged
over for the score. Nelson’s kick
was good for the extra point.
A few minutes later an Eagle
punt was blocked and the Mus-
tangs took over on the 10. On
fourth down Bobby Walker cross-
ed the goal line to annex the sec-

CHRISTIAN SCIENCE
SERVICES
“Mortals and Immortals” is the
subject of the Lesson-Sermon
which will be read in all Church-
es of Christ, Scientist, on Sun-
day, November 17.
The Golden Text is: “Thou art
no more a servant, but a son;
and if a son, then an heir of God
through Christ” (Galatians 4:7).
Among the citations which
comprise the Lesson-Sermon is
the following from the Bible:
“The Spirit itself beareth witness
with our sprit that we are the
children of God” (Romans 8:16).
The Lesson-Sermon also in-
cludes the following passage from
the Christian Science textbook:
“Science and Health with Key to
the Scriptures” by Mary Baker
Eddy: “God and man are not the
same, but in the order of divine
Science, God and man coexist and
are eternal. God is the parent
Mind, and man is God’s spiritual
offspring” (page 336).
ond marker for the Ponies. Wins-
by accounted for the extra point.
Several times during the game
the scrapping Eagles threatened
but each time a stubborn Mustang
line denied them a score and the
14 points made in the first period
was sufficient to eliminate the
Eagles.
The Ingleside Mustangs have
only one conference game left
on their schedule and this will
be played with Flour Bluff on
November 22rid. In conference
play they have won from Woods-
boro, Gregory and Sundeen, lost
to Rockport, and played a score-
less tie with the Refugio Bob-
cats who loom as district 38B
champions.
