Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Land passed
into the peaceful beyond last
Wednesday evening at 7 o’clock
after a lingering illness of three
weeks with slow fever, and the
remains were laid to rest in the
Oakwood cemetery Thursday eve-
ning. Bessie was fifteen years of
age—just budding into beautiful
womanhood, and her gentle na-
ture and attractive manner made
