HARD-LUCK STORY
Three weeks ago M’liss Morck, five-year-old daughter of Mr
Theos. Morck, TLC’s treasurer and golf coach, was heartbroken be-
cause one of her dogs, “Spotty,” was run over and killed by a car. Stu-.
dents will remember the pudgy black and white “Spotty” who chased
through the halls of the Main building with Mliss’ other dog, “J. R.”,
a brown and white cocker spaniel.
“J. R.” was heartbroken too; he couldn’t eat for five days. They
were the best of pals and inseparable, and if dogs have a heaven, may-
be they’re still together, because “J. R.” followed his buddy in death
fifteen days later, victim, too, of an onrushing car.
Saddened M’liss turned for consolation to her two baby Easter
chicks and her tomcat “Smokey”. Last week she two chicks died and
“Smokey” ran away. (And you think you got bad luck?)
