The Fifth Sunday
singing at the church here
was enjoyed by all who
attended Sunday night.
Several special numbers
were rendered, and after the
service finger foods were
served in the fellowship
hall.
Best wishes for a speedy
recovery go to Ted Flatt,
who had foot surgery last
week. His recovery is
expected to take several
weeks.
Ricky Ligon and Kathy
Dumas were married on
Friday night at the church
here. A good number
attended the ceremony. Our
best wishes to them for a
long and happy life
together.
The Low family had its
annual reunion at the
community center here on
Saturday. Newman Low
and Geneva Lee, the
surviving grandchildren of
Henry L. Low, represented
the family of Edgar Low, as
did Betty Low and Johnie
Lee. Others present were
Larry Smith Glenda Gurley
and grandson, Gage, of the
family of Charlie Low;
Dwaine Clark and wife
Billie, Dora Fay Butler and
Joy Kirk, and husband, Jim
Kirk, Mavis Miller and Rose
Roberts, of the family of
Fannie Low Clark. Visiting
the group were Ronnie and
Sylvia Hart, of the Detroit
area. Ronnie is a cousin of
Dwaine, Dora Fay and Joy.
Happy birthday wishes go
out to Elma Chaloner, cousin
of Modie Johnson and Cathy
Wood and others of the Pratt
family of this area. She
celebrated her 100th
birthday on September 22
at Bogata United Methodist
