Those from the church
here who attended Pine
Springs Baptist Camp at
Laneville last week re-
ported an enjoyable time.
Over 550 campers were in
attendance from churches
across the state. They re-
turned on Friday after-
noon.
The baby shower for
Metra Roberts at the com-
munity center here on
Saturday was well at-
tended.
The Vacation Bible
School is to be held at the
church here next week,
July 22-26. Starting time
will be 9 a.m., and the
closing program will be
on Friday night.
The annual cemetery
homecoming was held here
on Sunday, with a covered
dish lunch at noon in the
community center. After-
wards, a business meeting
was held in the church.
Though few in number, a
few more were in atten-
dance this year than last.
Representatives from the
following families were
present: Crawford, Low,
Lee, Tyler, Reynolds,
Freelen, Fox, Plant and
Swint.
The monthly meeting of
the Post Oak Volunteer Fire
Department was held on
Monday night at the fire
station. Ten members were
present and the training ses-
sion included a fire fight-
ing video.

information on James
Oringderff (born ca.
1855 to John and Sarah
Oringderff). He married
Rebecca Walker. Her
parents were said to have
died in Red River
County. James and
Rebecca lived in Red
River County from about
1901-1903, and owned
some land in the Detroit
area for a short time.
They had eight children,
four of whom survived
to adulthood: Charles
William H ., James
Wilbur, Earl B. and
Birdie May Oringderff.
Charles William’s wife
was Ollie and they had
about 10 children.
James and Rebecca
traveled from MO into
KS, AR and OK and are
reported to have died in
Red River County.
Records in the family
show his death as 1903,
and her’s as 1905, near
Bagwell.
James Wilbur Oringderff
moved to San Antonio
and was buried there in
the National Cemetery.
He appears to have been
in World War I. Earl
probably lived in NW
Arkansas and along the
Texas-Oklahoma border.
He had a family, but little
more is known.

Attention TNMP City of
Boaata Customers
On Wednesday night (July 24) at midnight,
TNMP will take an outage on the 4KV
substation in Bogata. The outage could last up
to three hours. The outage will affect the
central and Northern portions of the City of
Bogata.
The outage is necessary to allow TNMP
workers to safely install new switches inside
the substation.
We apologize for the inconven ence this out-
age may cause some of our customers This
work will enhance the future reliability of the
TNMP Bogata substation.
