standing lugs 16 are integral with the hori-
zontal portions of the braces 18, and are
5 bolted to the web braces 14 by bolts 19 and
nuts 20, and slots 21 are made in the parts
16, so that the brace 15 will be adjustable on
the standard corresponding to the adjust-
ment provided by the slots 12.
10 What I claim is,-
1. A wagon standard comprising a body
and a base integral therewith and web
braces integral with said body and base,
braces for binding said base to a wagon bol-
15 ster each consisting of a vertical portion en-
gaging the side of the bolster and a slotted
horizontal portion engaging said base, ver-
tical bolts extending through said slots and
through said base and through the bolster
20 and nuts on said bolts binding said braces
and base and bolster together, and a hori-
zontal bolt and a nut therefor binding the
vertical portions of said braces to said bol-
ster.
25 2. A wagon .standard comprising a body
and a base therefor integral therewith
mounted on a bolster, front and rear braces
integral with said body and said base, braces
having horizontal portions engaging said
30 base and vertical portions engaging' said
bolster, vertical bolts binding said braces
and base and bolster together, said braces
having slots for said bolts permitting ad-
justment to bolsters of different thicknesses,
3 the lower ends of said braces being extended
inwardly, and a horizontal bolt lying out of
the path of said vertical bolts for binding
said braces to said bolster.
3. A standard comprising an upright bodyhaving a flat base mounted on a bolster and 40
front and rear braces integral with said
body and base, braces having vertical por-
tions engaging the sides of a bolster and
horizontal portions engaging said base, said
horizontal portions being bifurcated to en- 45
gage said base on both sides of each of said
frst named braces and having slots therein,
vertical bolts projected through the bolster
and said base and through said slots and
nuts therefor, and a horizontal bolt binding 50
the vertical portions of said braces to the
bolster.
4. A standard for bolsters comprising an
upright body and a flat base integral there-
with and vertical front and rear braces in- 55
tegral with said body and base, detachable
braces having vertical portions engaging the
sides of a bolster and having bifurcated
horizontal portions engaging said base on
both sides of said front and rear braces and o
having upstanding flanges engaging said
front and rear braces and said flanges hav-
ing horizontal slots therein, bolts projected
through said slots and through said front
and rear braces, the horizontal portions of 65
said detachable braces having slots therein,
bolts projected through the bolster and
through said base and through said slots
and nuts for said bolts, and a bolt binding
the vertical portions of said detachable 70
braces to said bolster.
