Prince Frederick William are promising
but still undecided whether he will go to

Prince and Princess William will Start
for London June 16 The absence of all
resistance to the Crown Prince going
tends to confirm the reports that the
German doctors are not against his Ven-

Ftill anxious concerning him
Drs Bergmans Tabald and Gerliardt
are less decided upon the nature of the
growth Dr Bergmann who has hitherto
been acting upon tbe belief that it Is of
cancerous nature is reported to be hold-
ing aloof from the treatment now used
permitting Dr Mackenzie to have the
lead but still adhering to his former
opinion If the present theory concern-
ing the disease is followed Dr Mackenzie
must perform an operation to remove the
excrescence growing upon the larnyx
and this must be repeated at intervals of
fifteen days Until the doctors unani-
mously declare it to be their opinion that
the growth is not malignant
anxiety will not be abated Professor

Neither Sherman Nor Blaine
Special to the Gazette
Washington June 11 In the opinion
of Representative Oates of Alabama who is
one of the most able men in the south
neither Blaine nor Sherman will be the
presidential nominee He says These
two men are pretty equally balanced in
powor They are the two strongest men in j against
the Republican party because they are the
ablest I think neither of them will be
nomiusicd because it hardly ever occurs
that a party nominates its ablest men
and when they do nominate him it is only
to have him deieated Henry Clay could
not be nominated He was always beaten
crops of every kind exc pt in some sec b sm r men Great mon always an
tlous west the wheat crop will be a little
tagomzs too many people and too many
interests They have too much record
That was Blaines weakness He had too
much
record and Clevelands
great
est strength was that he had
had no record and consequently very lit-
tle to cause antagonism Allison I think
is the man most likely to get the Repub-
lican nomination He has not too much
record Cleveland I have no doubt will
be the Democratic candidate Notwith-
standing some little disappointments I
believe the southern states will send their
delegates o the national convention

agree that a disgraceful row occurred

nothing has been brought out to con-

morning In the meantime the distin-

refused to give bond saying he would go

and were liborated on their own recog-
nizance Today the Mayor changed his
mind about going to jail and gave the re
