of an interesting debate Friday
afternoon between the members
of the ninth and of the tenth
grade For several days' the
class spirjt had been raging and
every one, even to the little

present Friday afternoon, among
the number were Mr. 8.
Crawford, president of school
board, Dr. Terrell and Mrs.
Stoffers. More people should
visit the schools than do, as it
serves as an. incentive to Doth
teachers and pupils.
Red Top.
Health in'this vicinity is very good.
The dry weather continues and the
farmers are wearing long faces, as
everything looks gloomy.
-> The Sunday school at this place is
progressing nicely with 118 pupils en-
rolled and a regular attendance of 82.
The painters of the Red Top commu-
nity met last Saturday and applied the
first coat of paint to the school house,
which adds greatly to its appearance
The young people enjoyed a singing
at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Work-
man Sunday evening.
Miss Irene Rutherford visited Miss
Stella McBride last Sunday.
W. C. McGee and family visited
Mr. Alexander and family Sunday.
Several of the Red Top people have
gone to Wichita on a fishing trip.
W. H. Steen and Claud Rutherford
left Monday for DgbliPi Texas, with
a bunch of steers.
There will be preaching'here next
Sunday at 3:30 p. m. and at night.
