A burse is a permanent fund used for the education of seminarians, deacons and priests of the Diocese of
Corpus Christi, The interest earned by the fund is applied each year to their education and formation. A burse
may be started in memory of any individual priest, religious or lay person, or for any intention. Should you desire
to contribute to a burse, make your check payable to the Diocesan Burse Fund and designate to which burse
you want to contribute, or you may contribute online at: www.DioceseCC.org. Mail your check to:

DCCW continue to support future priests
The Diocesan Council of Catholic
Women has been very dedicated to
the building up of the Diocesan
Burse Fund through its sponsorship
of the Burse Club, and the DCCW
is very happy and honored to
sponsor the Burse Club once again
for the coming year. Each year
you, the people of the Diocese
of Corpus Christi, are invited to
join the Burse Club for $12. This
$12 will go toward the burse fund
that will help to offset the cost of
educating our seminarians during
their formation. Many of the priests
who serve in our Diocese today
have been able to do so through
the assistance of the members of
the Burse Club. What a wonderful
way to ensure that the Diocese of
Corpus Christi will continue to
have priests to serve the people in
this portion of the Lord’s vineyard.
Burse Club envelopes and cards
should be available in all parishes/
missions for you to fill out. If not,
contact Elsie Gessling at 361-664-
6684. Checks should be made out
to Corpus Christi DCCW.
Many thanks for becoming a
member of the Burse Club! This gift
will insure that we will always have
priests for our Diocese. God bless!
