DIOCESE
Everybody’s praying at St. Pius X
Two hundred and
thirty St. Pius X
students recently
held a Living
Rosary in the
courtyard of the
school. Students
stood in place
representing each
prayer of the
rosary while other
students prayed
and sang. The
Living Rosary was
prayed in honor of
Mary during the
month of the
Rosary.
Members of the St. Pius X
Rosary Group gather at 7
p.m. Mondays through
Fridays to pray the rosary.
Among their intentions
have been prayers for rain.
This photo confirms that
their prayers were
answered as they stand in
front of the St. Pius X
Memorial Prayer Garden
with umbrellas in hand.
Pictured are Dorothy
Mathews, Elaine Benavides,
Nancy Schannen, Patricia
Paris, Cheryl Galvagni,
Lillian Speed, Del Rollins,
Ginny Gagnon, Dottie
McMahon and Richard

Cathedral Concert Series
The King’s Singers return
Ten years ago, the King's Singers returned to their audience at the
Corpus Christi Cathedral for a fifth and final encore as they concluded
a St. Patrick’s Day evening with their moving rendition of “O Danny
Boy.”
On Nov. 8 at 7:30 p.m. the group will once again perform in the
Cathedral as the opening concert for this year’s season. The King’s
Singers' universal popularity stems from their unique ability to commu-
nicate the sheer enjoyment of singing any music, whether it is a 16th
century madrigal, a world premiere, a Japanese folksong or one of their
trademark close-harmony arrangements of a top-40 hit.
During their 1996-97 Tour, their performance at Corpus Christi
Cathedral will be the only free concert in their world tour, which will
include performances in Belgium. Canada, London and France.
