A Letter Of Appreciation
I wish to thank all of you who supported me in my
campaign for the office of SHERIFF in the campaign
that closed Saturday. I sincerely appreciate your sup-
port and will always strive to show my appreciation not
only with words but by example as well. -
I next want to thank those of you who were my op-
ponents for the very clean race you made, and for the
fact that you did not indulge in a mud-slinging or an
ungentlemanly campaign. You made a clean race, and
all of you conducted your campaign in a high and gen-
tlemanly manner. , ; # , J
I also wish to state that I hold no ill will toward
those of you who did not see fit to support me in the
first primary. Ours sons have recently spent a part of
their most useful years defending the right to our Amer-
ican way of life which guarantees to each of us the right
to think, speak, and vote as his conscience dictates, and
ft is your God given right to support the man you be-
lieve in, regardless if it be me or some one else.
I, being one of the candidates receiving a high
vote in the first primary, am to go into the second pri-
mary, and I earnestly solicit your suppdrt in the run off.
I ask you for your support on the basis of making you
the solemn promise that if elected I will to the very best
of my ability make you the best officer of which I am
capable. I will at all times conduct myself as it becomes
an officer and a gentleman. I will serve alike every
Citizen of San Patricio County regardless of his race
religion or other affiliation, and will be the SERVANT
of ALL THE PEOPLE.
1 ' Sincerely,
S.F. HUNT
