BUILD BOERNE BIGGER.
HENRY WESSELEY
We are here to pay tribute to
the memory of Henry Wesseley
who was born February 27,
1890 and died August 14, 1945,
Henry walked facing the
light.
When men and nations have
so freed themselves of avarice
and the lust for great posses-
sions, then they too may seq
those things which Henry saw
when he looked into the face of
every child.
In a fast and complicated era,
the smile and kindness of one
man produces the realization
of the possibility of much heal7
ing to the world.
The simplicity and meekness
and utter kindness of such a
one is truly as exemplary as it
is rare.
(S. John 12:35) Then said
Jesus unto them, Yet a little
while is the light with you.
Walk while ye have the light,
lest darkness come upon you;
For he that walketh in darkness
knoweth not whither he goeth.
Henry Wesseley walked fac-
ing that light.
GUSTAV MILTON WENDLER
We are here to pay tribute to
the memory of Gustav Milton
Wendler who was born in
Boerne, August 23, 1906 and
died August 15, 1945.
Gustav Wendler bore his
cross of ill health with a smile
and like a soldier. One never
saw self pity in Gus.
The acceptance of a cross;
without a whimper is the test
and proof of a real soldier.
GREGORIO JUAGIRDO NIETO
Gregorio Juagirdo Nieto, born
at Eagle Pass May 9, 1872 and
died Aug. 10, 1945.
Gregorio Juagirdo Nieto af-
ter many years of loving ser-
vice in behalf of his family well
earned the loyal and constant
love and care given to him in
his six years of helplessness.
The cementing of family lovq
such as was realized in the
Nieto family is no small thing,
and is symbolic of a realistic
functioning Christianity, and
reminds us of the service of oui?
Lord and His Saints in behalf
of the children of men.
IN APPRECIATION
We want to express our
heartfelt thanks to our many
Boerne friends for the kindness
to our daughter while she was
so seriously ill, to the kind
nurses, and those who donated
their lifes blood to save ouij
loved one. May God bless each
and every one.
