A Committee meeting of the
80 men and women Club, appoint
ed by .a Chairman met at Boerne
Court House, Oct. 7th. Paul
Holekamp, Chairman, presided,
•Jno. F. Kutzer acted as Secre-
tary-Treasurer and Mrs. John A.
Kirschke, Lady-Chairman.
This 80 Club Membership is
made up of Republicans, Demo-
crats and Independent voters
for the purpose of planning, so
as to elect Eisenhower President
and Nixon Vice-President.
It was decided to get Poll Tax
Lists, get sample ballots about
1000, to be divided with business
men, stores, etc. if possible can-
vass the county by various dis-
tricts, deliver to the public in
general, election buttons “Eis-
enhower-Nixon” and sample bal-
lots and other information such
as condenstation of the Repub-
lican 1952 Platform, also facts
sheets for the 1952 Presidential
Election and other material pa-
pers to be shown, also Auto and
window stickers.
Several orders were voted and
the Chairman requested to get
and order such, same to be used
in distributing same from time
to time now and until the elec-
tion.
A collections was made and
$91.00 was put in to buy ad-
ditional material as needed in
the campaign.
Mrs. John A. Kirschke was
authorized to put on Ike’s Birth-
day party all over the County
with Ike’s Birthday Cake on his
birthday, Octdber 14, 1952.
Fay Ingenhuett, Mrs. _ Fritz
present from Comfort in the
Stieler and August Krauter were
meeting; and the “Birthday
Ike’s Party” was turned over to
them as to Comfort, Sisterdale
and Waring, and for them to de-
cide when and how to celebrate
same.
Little Miss Karen Schmidt
celebrated her eighth birthday
with a “Bunco Party” on Tues-
day afternoon at the home of
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eddie
Schmidt. Each guests was pre-
sented an attractive favor. After
the games Mrs. Schmidt served
cup-cake, chocolate and candy.
Col. F. Lammons entertained
last week with a Mexican Sup-
per. The affair was held at the
Lammons home on Ranger Creek
and was in honor of all his good
neighbors in that community.
All reported a most enjoyable
time.

eral election in Kendall county
opened Wednesday, Oct. 15, and

31, County Clerk Otto Schweppe
announces.
Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Toepper-
wein have returned from a
week’s trip which included a
visit to the Rose Festival at
Tyler, where they visited Mr.
and Mrs. H. T. Wales, former
residents of Boerne, and a trip
to Houston, where they visited
Mrs. L. L. Toepperwein.
Mrs. Nellie Thomson is con-
fined at the Medical Arts Hos-
pital where she is undergoing
l treatment. Her friends will be
happy to learn she is recovering
rapidly.
L. D. Kemp is receiving med-
ical treatment at the Santa Rosa
Hospital in San Antonio. He is
doing nicely.

PEP SQUAD NEWS
The Boerne Pep Squad has
several new members that they
wish to welcome. They are Lil
lian Little, Joyce Petsch, Jim
Menhennett, Jimmy Gourley,
Jim Hale, Curtis Voges, Fred
Reissig, and Homar Walker.
The Pep Squad had a party
after the game with East Cen
tral. Their guests were the foot
ball boys, the band and the fac
ulty of the High School, Junior
High and Grade School.
The Pep Squad traveled afar
afar distince to Karnes City to
yell for the team. At the half
they formed the letters K. C. for
Karnes City and did victory
for Boerne.
The Pep Squad is glad that
Archie Hertel helps lead the
yells with the cheerleaders a
little after the half.
Let’s all go to the games and
yell for Boerne, when the team
meets Sam Houston.
