Good News from Italy
Public opinion expressed to
the State Department was suf-
ficient pressure to secure open
doors for all twenty-two chur-
ches of Christ in Italy. We
thank God for freedom of wor-

When faith hath made her

And lay my homage at the Mas-

“Behold, happy is the man
whom God correcteth; therefore
despise not thou the chastening
of the Almighty.” So says Scrip-
tures. When affliction, such as
suffering, sorrow, great distress
of body or mind, or death in the
family, strike a Christian many
of us are inclined to regard it
is an unmixed evil. If only we
could free ourselves of that bur-
den, we feel, then all would be
well. God, who is always right,
judges differently. He sends us
affliction to correct us. Like un-
ruly children we need correction,
to be set aright, so that we may
forsage the ways of sin and walk
truly in the ways of godliness.
To follow sin leads to inevitable
destruction. God loves us too
much to want that to happen.
So He lays a heavy hand, yet one
full of love, upon us, so we may
bethink ourselves and come to a
truer, deeper, faith, and in the
end receive eternal life thru
faith in Christ. That is the pur-
pose of affliction for the Chris-
tian. Its purpose is noble. As
such let us receive it from God’s
hand.

Stop Taking
Harsh Drugs for
Constipation
End Chronic Dosing! Regain Normal
Regularity This All-Vegetable Way!
Taking harsh drugs for constipation can
punish you brutally! Their cramps and
griping disrupt normal bowel action,
make you feel in need of repeated dosing.
When you occasionally feel constipated,
get gentle but sure relief. Take Dr. Cald-
well’s Senna Laxative contained in Syrup
Pepsin. It’s all-vegetable. No salts, no harsh
drugs. Dr. Caldwell’s contains an extract
of Senna, oldest and one of the finest
natural laxatives known to medicine.
Dr. CaldweU’s Senna Laxative tastes
good, acts mildly, brings thorough relief
comfortably. Helps you get tegular, ends
chronic dosing. Even relieves stomach
sourness that'constipation often brings.
