I claim:
1. In combination with a - tubular plate
cast box including a swinging core, a head
10 ring slidably mounted upon said core and
means for moving said ring longitudinally
of the core upon swinging movement of
the core.
2. In combination with a tubular plate
15 cast box including a movable core, a head
ring slidably mounted upon the core and
means for imparting separate movement to
the head ring upon the core in unison with
the movement of the core.
20 3. In combination with a tubular plate
cast box including a movable core, means
for imparting separate movement to the cast
plate upon the core in unison with the move-
ment of the core into an inoperative ad-
25 justment. ;r
4. In combination with a tubular plate
cast box including a swinging core, a head
ring slidably mounted upon the core and
stationary means coacting with the head
ring for imparting movement thereto longi-
tudinally of the core during the swinging
movement of the core.5. In combination with a tubular plate
cast box including .a swinging core, a head
ring slidably mounted thereon, and a cam 35
action separate from the core and coacting
with the head ring for imparting movement
to the ring longitudinally of the core during
the swinging movement of the core.
6. In combination with a tubular plate. 40
cast box including a swinging core, a head
ring slidably mounted thereon, an arm en-
gageable with the -ring, and a cam member
supported independently of the core and co-
acting with the arm to impart movement to 45
the ring longitudinally of the core during
the swinging movement of the core.
7. In combination with- a tubular plate
cast box including a swinging core, a head
ring slidably mounted thereon, an arm en- 5
gageable with the ring, a plate positioned
adjacent the core and provided with a cam
slot and a member carried by the arm and
disposed within the slot, said cam slot being
so formed as to impart movement to the
head ring longitudinally of the core during
the swinging movement of the core.
