PRIORITY
"No on* can serve two
masters; for either he will
hate the one and love the
other, or he will be devoted
to the one and despise the
. other. You cannot serve God
and mammon." This state-
ment, found in Matthew
6:24, was made by Jesus in
his sermon on the mount. He
is saying that man cannot be
faithful to God and faithful
^ to wordly pleasures at the
same time. It is impossible.
The spiritual realm of God
is completely opposite from
the physical realm of the
world. If you lean toward
one, at the same time you are
leaning away from the other.
In every action, you are giv-
, ing priority to one or the
other. Christ exhorts us to
give priority to God and his
commands He said in Mat-
thew 6:33, "But seek first his
kingdom and his righteous-
ness, and all these things
shall be yours as well." If
we give priority to God, he
will bless us with all the phy-
sical things we need.
