PORTLAND NtWS Thursday Fab 13. I97S Pa«e 9
The season has ended the
junior high school girls 1974-75
basketball season
"For the first year of com
petitive basketball play, it has
been a good season of learning
techniques, control of
emotions, an understanding of
what individual as well as team
effort is. and testing what the
girls need to know about good
sportsmanship and attitudes."
Coach Judy Sea berry said
"They have gained a ser,»e of
self pride and confidence
Kven though the wins may not
have been as many as the
losses, the girls have ac-
complished a great deal in not
only improving as a basketball
team but have found out more
about themselves and what it
means to compete," she noted
The seventh grade team
finished the season with six
wins and seven losses
The eighth graders had
seven wins to their credit
against It) losses
The girls were cuached by
Miss Seaberry who was
voluntarily assisted by Miss
Diane Pritchard
