Tractor Firm Now Open

The Rockdale Tractoi Shop,
a new business for Rockdale,
is now Oban at 616 East Cam-
iron, oumers Truett Lee and
ii. L, i Monk i Summers have
announced.
At present, the firm is deal-
ing in used Ford tractor sales
apd equipment, and offers a
complete line of parts and ac-
cessories. __
The firm is housed in a 40
by 70-foot building. Summers,
who has operated the Rockdale
Feed St Seed Company for the
past 10 years, is well known
in Rockdale.
Le.e, of Minerva, formerly
operated a garage and tractoi
repair shop at Minerva for 14
years. Prior to that, he was
employed by a Ford tractoi
(jlpaler at Wheeler, Texas.
He dobs all types of tractor
repair work for all models, and
also offers welding and steam-
cleaning work.
Store hours will be 7:30 a. m.
until 5:30 p. m.t the owners
explained.
“We hope that area residents
will drop by and see our facili-
ties and visit with us,“ they

Lee and his wife, Delphie,
reside at Minerva and have one
daughter. Norma Dell, 6 Sum-
mers’ wife, Marian, will con-
tinue to operate Rockdale
Feed St Seed, it was explained.

Mrs. Dot Barfield of Milano
was the winner of the $500
jackpot prize at the Rockdale
Piggly Wiggly store Saturday,
according to R. D. Pursche,
manager.
The Piggly Wiggly grocery
has been staging a weekly
jackpot program, with $100
given away each Saturday. The
award ha^l built to $500 last
Saturday.
In recent weeks there have
been numerous cash winners,
Pursche said.
