Wildcats
Knock Off
Greyhounds
Pud Meier set the Taft
Greyhounds with no hits last
Tuesday as the Wildcats won
the district game It to 1.
Pud had control trouble-
walking 10 men-but when he
did get the ball over the plate
the Hounds weren't able to
connect
Other than two wild pitches,
the Wildcats turned in
errorless ball to back up their
pitcher
The Cats had no trouble
hilling Goins, collecting 10 hits
in the five inning game with
Pena Dickson. Meier and West
each collecting two apiece
Meier ran into trouble in the
first inning as he walked the
first man to face him, who later
scored on some wild pitches
After that, the only men to get
on base were on free passes
G-P came back in their half
of the first inning to score when
Pena opened with a double and
Dickson followed with another
double They scored in the
second inning when Trevino
walked, stole second and made
it home on fielder's choices
They put four big runs across
in the third on three hits and
two walks and then came back
in the fourth to score three
more runs on three hits and
then capped it off in the fifth
with two more runs on one hit
