It Will Pay
A deferment during extreme dry
weather may not make a big show-
ing while it is still dry. But you
watch two pastures side by side fol-
lowing a rain. It can easily be told
which pasture rested during a dry
period even though both are stock-
ed. Deferring a pasture now will
mean better range conditions in the
future. So - - save now for future
use. ■

Culls Early
Do not get yourself into trouble
again like in the early 1950’s. Re-
serve feed on all pastures are now
going down. Some are stocked heavy
and some light. The heavy stocked
pastures are losing fast in the past
few weeks. Culling of livestock now
is a wise move. During periods like
this, we can not wait for market^
to improve. Feeding can soon eat up
lots of profit. Selling at a loss dur-
ing a period like this may still be a
wise move.

Maintainer Resumes Work
The G. B. R. A. maintainer has
now retturned to the Kendall Dis-
trict to continue work on terraces
and diversions. We realize there are
other people that would like to use
this machine to build or rework
some terraces but have not sched-
uled it as yet. Your desires should
be made known now so your work
can be done while it is near you
this summer.
B. E. Leissner, whose ranch is lo-
cated on Little Joshua Creek, has
recently completed a stock water
pond. This pond will furnish water
to a part of his ranch now without
adeqquate livestock water.
Mr. and! Mrs. Paul Petsch, Mr.
and Mrs. John Gruber and child-
ren and Mrs. O. J. Kneupper en-
joyed a fishing trip at the Rock-
port coast recently.
Mrs. Walter Esser attended
the closing exercises of her
granddaughter, Lori Massey’s
Kindergarten class in San Anto-
nio on Friday evening.
