Agatha Christie Mystery
An all-star cast led by Albert
Finney becomes involved in an
Agatha Christie mystery. The
movie, which received six
Academy Award nominations, is
being featured at the Pharr
Memorial Library on Monday.
January 21. The show begins at
6:45 p.m.
Joining Finney are some of the
biggest names in the industry.
Jacqueline Bisset. Sean Connery.
Michael York, Vanessa
Redgrave. Ingrid Bergman.
Lauren Bacall, Anthony Perkins.
Richard Widmark. John Gielgud,
and Martin Balsam play a host
of eccentric characters. Mis
Bergman won an Oscar for her
portrayal of a Swedish
missionary.
Albert Finney is the dapper
detective Hercule Poirot, for
whom murder-solving is a
precise, intellectual exercise.
When an American millionaire
is murdered on the Orient Ex-
press. Poirot agrees to interview
all aboard the train’s Calais
coach. His hope is to find the
killer before the local police
arrive. The subsequent parade
of dignified and indignant
suspects through Poirot's in-
terrogation chamber provide
unadulterated pleasure.

PAY
THEIRS
OR
YOUR IRA
THE CHOICE IS YOURS.
This year you can pay yourself with a con-
tribution to an Individual Retirement Account
at Central National Bank and take a bite out of
your payment to tbe IRS
Through April ISth, you can reduce your
total taxable income for 1984 by as much as
94000 for a working couple. And that can
result in a significant tax reduction.
That’s good news for people who want to
contribute more to their own savings than to
Uncle Sam’s coffers.
In short, an IRA will allow you to pay a lot
less Income tax this year.
In the long run you create a high yield in-
vestment with no tax on the interest or prin-
cipal until you withdraw from the account. In
later years, at withdrawal, personal tax rates
can be considerably less, further enhancing
the shelter on your earnings.
And you have the choice of a fixed rate in-
vestment or a variable rate account which
allows additional contributions for next year
on a monthly basis, or at your option.
Any way you look at It, an OtA is a smart
way to save for your retirement years. Call or
come by Central National Bank and let us ex-
plain our flexible OtA programs.
Ail of them can put a lot more money in your
pocket and a lot less in Uncle Sam’s.
