have been in Aurora, Colo., the
past few months.

ALBERT EDWARD RANZAU
Funeral services were held at
Porter Loring Chapel on Monday
at 1:30 o’clock for Albert Ed-
ward Ranzau, age 59, of Atas-
cosa, Texas. The Rev. J. B. Black
well officiated. Interment was in
Mission Burial Park.
He was a member of the Luth-
eran Church, Harlandale Lodge
No. 1213, A. F. & A. M., Siemer-
ing Lodge No. 32, Sons of Her-
man and Retired Fire Captain at
Kelly Field.
Survivors are wife Mrs. Fran-
ces Ranzau, Atascosa, sons, Al-
bert Jr., San Antonio, Richard,
Atascosa; sisters, Mrs. Annie
Wilson, Mrs. Ida Kuntz, Mrs.
Minnie Nefford, Mrs. Lena Muel-
ler, all of San Antonio.
Mr. Ranzau grew up in Ken-
dall County and attended school
in Boerne.

home Sunday were Mrs. Edgar
Offer, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Offer
and son of San Antonio.
Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Marquart
were business visitors to San
Antonio Friday.
Mr. adn Mrs. Edgar Kneup-
per of Kendalia visited in the
Leroy Kneupper home one day
last week.

San Antonio, Virgil Habenicht
and son of Boerne.
Mr. and Mrs. O. J. Marquardt
visited in the Helwig Marquardt
home Monday evening.

and Leroy Habenicht were bus-
iness visitors to San Antonio on
Friday.
Miss Monette Haag was a-
mong the lucky hunters to get a
deer last week.
Mrs. Royce Martin of Buffalo
called on Mrs. Herbert Langbein
Sunday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Behr and
children of San Antonio. While
there David Behr killed his first
buck, a nice seven pointer.
Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Boos and
children of Fredericksburg vis-
ited with the Martin Marquardt
family Sunday.
Weekend guests of Mr. and
and Mrs. Ed. Herbst were Mr.
and Mrs. Royce Martin and son
Randy of Buffalo. While here
Mr. Martin killed a gobbler and
Randy got a deer and gobbler.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Masters
and family spent Sunday with
the Bruno Albrechts at Center
Point.
Mr. and Mrs. O. E. Behr en-
tertained a group of friends with
a 42 party at their home Satur-
day evening. Those attending
were Mesdames Bessie Book,
Louise Reinhard, Frieda Lang-
bein, Messrs and Mesdames J. H.
Barnes, M. H. Nutt, Chas. Pru-
ter, Chas. Rust and Joyce. The
hostess served delicious refresh-
ments.
Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Mar-
quardt and sons of Fredericks-
burg spent weekend before last
with the 0. J. Marquardts.
Mesdames Adolph Bausch and
Carl Rechenthin were hostesses
for the Civic Club Pinochle Par-
ty Wednesday evening. Out of
town guests were Mesdames
Anna Haufler and Wm. Linde-
mann of Comfort, Mr. and Mrs.
C. J. Felder of San Antonio.
Prizes were awarded to Erhard
Houfler, 0. J. Marquardt, Mes-
dames Louis Habenicht and Al-
vin . Herbst. Refreshments of
sandwiches, cake and coffee
were served. Next meeting will
be Jan. 6, with Mesdames G. A.
and Herbert Langbein as host-
esses.
The annual Community Christ
mas Tree, sponsored by the local
Chamber of Commerce, will be
held at the Community Center
Saturday evening, Dec. 19, begin
ning promptly at seven P. M.
Ladies are asked to bring cook-
ies.

have returned from the Big
Bend Country loaded with Mule
Deeer. Each of the following
hunters bagged his deer. In the
party were Jake Beasley and his
brother Pat of Junction, Jessie
Theis, Harold Phillip, Harold
Ranzau, E. T. Tarpley, Marble
Falls, Ben Alanis, Bandera, Jim-
mie Knopp and Bill Meirson, Ar-
lington.
