Danny Lee McDuff
Danny Lee McDuff, 72,
passed away on Saturday,
January 21, 2017 in Lub-
bock. Funeral services were
held at 1:00 pm on Monday,
January 23, 2017 in the First
Baptist Church in Ralls with
Mr. Vance Davis and Mr.
Kent Anderson officiating.
Burial will follow in Ralls
Cemetery under the care of
Adams Funeral Home in
Ralls.
A visitation was held on
Sunday, January 22, 2017
from 5:00 to 6:00 pm at the
funeral home.
Danny was born on
May 13, 1944 in the Fair-
view Community of Crosby
County to W.C. “Dutch” and
Gwen Marsh McDuff. He
graduated from Ralls High
School in 1962. He was an
outstanding farmer all his
life. He married Shannon
Wyrick on July 14, 2000.
He left behind many lov-
ing friends and family. He
is preceded in death by his
parents.
He is survived by his
wife: Shannon McDuff of
Ralls, three daughters: Tiffa-
ny Gunderson and husband
Will of Round Hill, Virginia,
Kristy Herrington of Ralls
and Laura Chaney and hus-
band Jason of Lubbock, two
sons: J.J. McDuff of Temple
and Danny Wideman and
wife Allison of Lubbock,
one brother: Jim McDuff
and Pam Taylor of Ralls, one
sister: Linda Slater and hus-
band Tommy of Odessa, six
grandchildren: Hailey Her-
rington, Danny Herrington,
Madelyn Wideman, Wilson
Wideman, James Chaney
and William Gunderson and
one great grandson: Kase
Mitchell.
Memorials may be made
to the Children’s Home of
Lubbock, PO Box 2824,
Lubbock, TX 79408.

Bonnie Jo Sanford, 92,
passed away on Friday, Jan-
uary 20, 2017 in Lubbock.
Graveside services were held
at 2:00 pm on Sunday, Janu-
ary 22, 2017 in the Tahoka
Cemetery.
Arrangements are under
the care of Adams Funeral
Home in Ralls.
Bonnie Jo was born on
October 16, 1924 in Dim-
mitt, Texas to John Luther
and Reina Mae Waggoner.
She grew up in Vernon
where she attended schools.
She lived in Tahoka where
she met and married Olin
Jessie Johnson on June 19,
1943. She later moved to
Lamesa where she married
J. N. Sanford. She moved to
Ralls in 1994.
She drove a school bus in
O’Donnell and Lamesa for
17 years. She also worked in
the school cafeteria as well.
She was a member of the As-
sembly of God Church.
She is preceded in death
by her parents, her husbands,
and 16 brothers and sisters.
She is survived by two
daughters: Oleda Merrick of
Ralls and Jean Lonis of Lub-
bock, two grandchildren:
Cindy Timms of Brown-
wood and Michael Merrick
of Colorado City, and two
great grandchildren: Austin
Merrick of Colorado City
and James Merrick of Colo-
rado City.

What going on in your
neck of the woods? Most of
us is listening and looking
for signs to tell us we are un-
der a new administration, it
maybe a little too early to see
them so don’t get too com-
fortable they are just around
the bend.
Did you watch the weath-
er news, the man said the
weather go be sunny and the
tempature mild. Mr. Farmer
these days are behind us now
but I hope you worked hard
to finsh up getting your cot-
ton stripped.
There was no need to
miss going to get the Word
Sunday. I went and brought
a few home with me and I
plan to use them wisely ev-
ery day they are to think of
others first, but we know
that’s easier said than done.
That go take a cup of prayer
before a cup of coffee.
As I checked the sick
list I have Betty Pierce, Ann
Hays, Ruby Swindall. I’m
happy to share with you
Bobby Adams, Jimmie Lang
are much better so is Staffe-
ny Wiley is much better
still in the hospital. Margie
Moore’s Uncle Jody Rich-
ardson is not doing well, he
is in Los Angelos.
Our sympathy is extend-
ed to all breaved families.
