Development currently has
$65 million in funding for
low interest loans to be dis-
persed for community facil-
ity projects throughout Tex-
as. Funding is authorized
through the Department’s
Community Facilities Direct
and Guaranteed Loan Pro-
gram.
USDA Rural Develop-
ment Community Programs
enhance the quality of life
for rural Texans by provid-
ing funds to public bodies,
community based non-profit
corporations and federally-
recognized tribes for essen-
tial community facilities and
services. Funds may be used
for a wide range of com-
munity projects. These in-
clude, but are not limited to,
projects such as those which
will enlarge, improve or
construct schools, libraries,
farmers markets, medical
clinics, assisted living cen-
ters, public buildings, and
community centers. Funding
can also be used to purchase
public safety equipment such
as ambulances, firefighting
equipment, and other emer-
gency required implements.
Community Programs
can make and guarantee
loans to develop essential
community facilities in ru-
ral areas and towns of up to
20,000 in population. Guar-
anteed loans are made and
serviced by lenders such as
banks, savings and loans,
mortgage companies which
are part of bank holding
companies, banks of the
Farm Credit System, or in-
surance companies regulated
by the National Association

NOTICE OF 2015 TAX YEAR
PROPOSED PROPERTY TAX RATE FOR
A tax rate of $0,6454 per $100 valuation has been proposed for adoption by the governing body of City of Lorenzo.
This rate exceeds the lower of the effective or rollback tax rate, and state law requires that two public hearings be held by
the governing body before adopting the proposed tax rate.

The rollback tax rate is the highest tax rate that The City of Lorenzo may adopt before voters are entitled to petition for
an election to limit the rate that may be approved to the rollback rate.

Workforce Development
will offer classes at the
Bridge of Lubbock starting
in September.
The Bridge is located at

The classes are available to

79404 zip codes.
SPC will offer the fol-
lowing classes:
The Pharmacy Techni-
cian class will be from 6 to
9 p.m. Sept. 14 through Nov.
4 on Mondays and Wednes-
days.
The Phlebotomy class
will meet from 6 to 9 p.m.
Sept. 14 through Nov. 18 on
Mondays and Wednesdays.
The EKG Monitor Tech-
nician class is set from 6 to
8 p.m. Sept. 15 through Nov.
15 on Tuesdays and Thurs-
days.
