A number of those present had braved
the cold and bad roads and come

program consisted of a reading, on
which he had spent much time and
deep thought by S. L. Unterbrink. In
an informal discussion of the tele-
phone question it was decided to try
to secure a purchaser for the present
system, who will rebuild and operate
it. A committee composed of Tom Yak-
1 in and Leonard Huff of Vattman,
Clyde Nanny and Charlie Robbins of
Bafflns Bay, Fred Yaklin and Mr.
Kaufer of Riviera wus appointed, this
committee is to meet at Vattman on
the night of January 13th.

urged to be present.
Have you ever asked yourself: How
much do I really know about the out-
standing personalities of the New Tes-
tament? It is a good question to ask
and lo have answered. Some months
ago I re-studied some of the men of
the New Testament, guided by the
books of George Mathoson and others,
and preached a series of sermons,
which, 1 am told, were appreciated by
those who heard them. The remaining
three Sunday nights of this month the
following character studies will be
presented from my pulpit. The titles
used are in the striking phraseology
of George Matheson:
January 17: Zaccheus, the Conscl-
ous-struck.
January 24: Nicodomus, the Instruct
ed.
January 31: Janies, tin* Softened.
The preacher hopes to give his
hearers a fresh grasp of religious
truth through the experiences of those
New Testament men.
