Smithville To
Observe Public
School Week
Smithville school officials
encourage all parents and con-
cerned citizens to observe
Texas Public Schools Week
from March 3-7 by visiting
neighborhood schools and be-
coming acquainted with our
local educational system and its
needs and problems.
School officials and teachers
feel that a public awareness
of the workings of the local
school system and an under-
standing of the problems posed
by inflation, and new school
legislation is vital to the main-
tenance and improvement of
educational quality,
Public schools at all levels
-elementary through high
school will be open for visita-
tion during the week. Special
student presentations, displays
of art and other projects are
planned.
