Mrs. Martin Marquardt and
Mrs. Erno Spenrath were hos-
tesses for the Civic Club Pino-
chle party at the Community
Center Wednesday evening. The
high score awards were made to
Mrs. Oscar Marquardt and Mrs.
Edwin Scheele, second high to
Mrs. Leon Langbein and Oscar
Behr. Sandwiches, cake, coffee
and tea were served after the
games. The next party will be
held Aug. 5, with Mrs. Harry
Hill and Mrs. Helen Marquardt
as hostesses.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Zizelman
and their nephew Johnnie Simon
of San Antonio spent the 4th of
July holidays at Granite Shoals.

Vance and sons Jimmy and Mich
ael of New Braunfels.
Mrs. Marshall Lasswell spent
four days last week with her
daughter, Mrs. Roy Aaronson
and family at Rockport. She was

grandchildren Marsha, Marc and
Rory and also by her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Beckham,
who all spent several days with
Mr. and Mrs. Lasswell.

sociation’s Float won first prize
at the Seguin’s July 4th Cele-
bration. A Blue Ribbon.
Miss Charlene Linnartz —
Queen; Miss Lasca Egan, Prin-
cess and Miss Terri Marie Lewis
runner-up rode on the float.
Mr. Wayne Schuchardt and
Mr. Frank Sultenfuss drove the
float.
Mrs. H. M. Pegram accompa-
nied the young ladies.
They were the guests of Mr.
and Mrs. Martin Steger and the
group attended a barbecue at
Starcke Park.
