During the fall months millions of fanatic football fans
flock to their television sets to watch college schoolboys
battle on the gridiron Great teams such as the University cf
Houston, University of Texas, A 4 M University, and Texas
Tech are seen each week After a tension filled half,
audiences aren't expected to sit and watch the equally great
hands that also fight to maintain or achieve the "number
one" position
TheG P Bandrealiz.es the terrible situation in which this
puts some fans. (Several happen to be in the band >
Therefore, Friday night we arc going to make it passible for
you to see these great performances Before you become
hysterical about seeing all these bands in person at one half-
time show. I should warn you (hat the bands will really only
lie imitated The people won't tie original, but the music and
marching will be Come out and see a great show (Is im-
personating a hand illegal'’l
Some members of the band do an excellent job im-
personating cheerleaders Now, their legs might have a little
more muscle and a lot more hairs on them, but these people
get the job done What they lack in shape they make up with
volume The hand motions are thrown out because coor-
dination seems to be below average for some The flips are
done away with. too. because they tend to create dizzy spells
But these excitable souls can play a tune on their horns and
every time a rousing “CHARGE!" will come from the
stands Hats off to you, gentlemen
