Hits Big For SWT I At Elementary Track Meet
Trey Matthews a IMS Gregory-

Wildcats baseball team, has finished
his Junior year at Southwest Texas
State University with the bail club
finishing fifth in the Southland Con-
ference standings
SWT finished its IMS baseball
season with a JS-2f season record in-
cluding double-header sweeps of
Rice and Baylor. 11k chib is ranked
first in hitting and fielding aid pit-
ching ranked next to last
They finished t-S against the
Southwest Conference teams, losing
to the University of Texas once,
Texas A AM twite and TCU three
times.
Matthews record with the team

of those taring home runs, ranking
him sixth in ihe Southland Con-

For the division five girls. Brenda
Cruz took two first-place finishes in
the 200 and 400-meter run. Team-
mate Claudia Hernandez took se-
cond in the 200-meter run
The 800-meter run was swept total
ly by the sixth grade girls winning
all five ribbons Vicki Bullard won a
first in the 200-meter run and a se-
cond in the hurdles Ijnda Keyes
took a second-place ribbon in the 50
yard dash with Angelica Gonzales
taking a second in the 400-meter run

100-meter dash and a second in the
50-yard dash. For the division four
boys, Erik Adame winning top
