Funeral services for Adolph
Uecker, age 84 of Route 10, Box
158, San Antonio, retired ran-
cher of Bulverde, Texas, were
held on Friday, February 7, at
Zoeller Funeral Home, New
Braunfels. Mr. Uecker passed a-
way February 5 in Seguin.
Survivors are his widow, three
sons, Marvin of Bulverde, Min-
ton and Herbert of San Antonio,
also one brother, Herman Ueck-
er of Comfort.
Interment was in Serold Cem-
etery at Bulverde.
WORLD DAY OF PRAYER
Sunrise Hill Council of United
Church Women will observe
World Day of Prayer on Febru-
ary 14 at the Methodist Church.
The service at 10 o’clock will
followed a Fellowship Coffee at
9:30. Mrs. John Beath is Chair-
man of the Day.
Mrs. Arthur Boenig of Con-
verse visited here with Mr. and
Mrs. Duane Boenig. Their little

to Mrs. Wm. Lindemann and
Louis Habenicht. Refreshments
were served after the games.

Beckham is the only living char-
ter member.
Mrs. A. F. Marquart returned
home on Friday from San An-
tonio, where she had been hos-
pitalized in Baptist Memorial
Hospital for several days, due to
a siege of Flu.

Control Board, 1100 West 49th
Street, Austin, Texas, pursuant to
the State Water Pollution Control
Act (Article 7621d of Vernon’s Civ-
il Statutes), to amend Permit No.
10066 to discharge municipal wastes
from a municipal sewage treatment
plant located near State Hwy. 46
and Southern Pacific Railroad Inter-
section east of Boerne in Kendall
County; said wastes to be discharg-
ed into an intermittent creek flow-
ing into the Cibolo Creek,

REPORT
Our Brownie Troop met on
Thursday, Feb. 6, 1964, at the
Lutheran Church. We elected of-
ficers, Cynthia Jennings is Pres-
ident. Jo Beth Montgomery is
Secretary, Teresa Phillip is Trea-
surer.
The refreshments were serv-
ed by Teri Egan and Teresa
Phillip. Then, we worked on our
Brownie Gift Certificates, under
the direction of our leader.

At the last Lions Club meet-
ing which followed a delicious
dinner served by the Women of
the Church, a Loving Cup was
presented Alex Fish in apprecia-
tion for the many hours of time

Alex has been announcing foot
ball games for a number of
years.
Coaches Turk and Wyatt were
present and showed films of the
Medina Valley game.

The Junior Girl Scouts held
their weekly meeting, Tuesday,
Feb. 11, 1964 at the Lutheran
Church.
President Charlene Coffee call
ed the meeting to order and sec-
retary Rebecca Vogt called the
roll. Treasurer Alice Asher col-
lected dues.
Maurine Hemby showed the
Scouts the correct way to load a
camera.
Valentine cards were address-
ed to the patients at the Friend-
ship Nursing Home.
Refreshments were served by

Mrs. Nobles, one of our lead-
ers was sick. We hope she will
be able to be back with us for
