Texas AAU track meet in Alice two
weeks ago participated at the
Region 9 AAU meet in San Antonio
last Friday and Saturday
Top athletes from Texas, Iaoui-
siana and Mississippi participated in
the meet The first four finishers
qualify for the national meet in
Wichita. Kansas August 3rd through
August 8th
In the Junior Boys division. Josh
Marler won the pole vault with an
outstanding jump of 11-6. Marler
was undefeated in the pole vault this
summer He also ran a 56 01 leg on
the second place 1600 meter relay
team
