dividual trophies in U.I.L. events
such as Number Sense, Calculator.
Science. Spelling, Typing. Jour-
nalism. Ready Writing, Shorthand
and foreign language subject - mat-
ter contests in French. German and
Spanish
Trophies were presented to the top
three places in each event and rib-
bons for 4th. 5th and Sth. Over five
hundred students representing 25

ticipated in the annual contest which

present a concert Saturday at 7:30
p m at Flour Bluff High School

for the All-Region Band
Tryouts were held January 23 at
Jones High School in Beeviile and
over 250 students from 18 schools
