CHRISTMAS LUNCHEON
Annual Christmas Luncheon
was held in the lovely country
home of Mrs. C. G. Newton, with
Mrs. H. V. Steele co-hostess.
There were 19 members pres-
ent and one guest, Mrs. Norma
Pourtless.
Mrs. Gilliat, our Chaplain said
Grace, then we enjoyed a de-
lightful Holiday Luncheon.
The program for the after-
noon was in charge of Mrs. Lena
Taylor, Mrs. Rae Easley, and
Mrs. T. M. Rylander. A Christ-
was Tree contest was held, with
Mrs. John King and Mrs. M. J.
Richter winning the prizes.
Mrs. Rae Easley read an in-
teresting story on The Animals
of Christmas. This was followed
by exchange of gifts, and Mrs.
G. E. Taylor closed the meeting
with a Reading of the Scriptures
and a Prayer.
Mrs. John F. Kutzer is leaving
today Wednesday, to fly to De-
troit to spend the Christmas sea
son with her son and family, Mr.
and Mrs. John F. Kutzer and
children.

Christmas Cheer in the na-
ture of a small group of mem-
bers of the School Band under
the direction of Mr. Aaberg,
played holiday music and carols
on Main Street, Tuesday after-
noon. This is a first for Boerne,
and the City is indebted to busi
nessmen John E. Vogt and Geo.
Vogt. The youngsters were on a
decorated truck and did a fine
job.
Miss Nellie Patton of John
Tarleton College is visiting here
with her grandmother, Mrs. M.
A. Berry and her uncle and
aunt, Mr .and Mrs. Eddie Sch-
midt during the Christmas sea-
son. Nellie is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Patton of
Panama.
WATCH NIGHT SERVICES
The Berean Couples Class of
the First Baptist Church will
sponsor a Watch Night Service
on Thursday night, December 31
from 8:00—12:00.
There will be games and ac-
tivities for all age groups. At
the close of the evening there
will be a song service and wor-
ship service with all groups
meeting together at this time.
Plan to be with us on Decem-
ber 31, 1964 at the First Bap-
tist Church. Everyone is wel-
come.

MEETS
At the regular meeting Dec.
10, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Pfeiffer,
Jr. and Miss Mary Lou were
iniated into the order by Past
Master Curtis Voges Pro tern, in
absence of Master Benno Fro-
boese. Two officers were absent.'
It was decided to take fruit in
place of cookies to the Nursing
Homes this year to bring cheer
to them. Maurice Theis asked
for help for repair and building
at the Fair Grounds for the Ju-
nior Livestock Show. A pledge of
$15 was made toward buying at
the show.
Pomona Grange meets at Bal-
cones Jan. 18, 1965 with Bal-^
cones as hosts. Benno Froboese
and Clara Schwarb on the sick
list. Happy birthday to Mrs. Al-
fred Kohler, Dora Berline and
Maurice Theis. Lawrence Kunz
name was drawn for the bank
box. As he was absent, it will
be three dollars next time.
Season greetings were read
from the Foss family from Wing,
Arkansas. Lovely refreshments
were served by Messrs and Mes-
dames Robert Davis. Alvin Rein-'
hard and Maurice Theis.
The Rev. and Mrs. James
Tucker are parents of another
son born in Austin on Thursday
December 17, Their other child-
ren are Alice, Jimmie, Margaret
Esther, Susie, and John. Mrs.
Tucker is the former Marjorie
Kutzer, daughter of Mrs. John
Kutzer of Boerne.
Shirley Ebensberger, Viva
Mae Lester, both students at
North Texas Woman’s College,
Denton, are here visiting with
their parents Mr. and Mrs. Geo.
Ebensberger and Mr. and Mrs.
Feldon Lester.
