Gregory-Portland High School,
is employed by Hill
Distributors in Gregory. The
groom is a graduate of Carroll
High School. Corpus Christi,
and is employed by Halliburton
Services, Corpus Christi.
The couple is making their
home in Corpus Christi.

Has Model Meeting
Members and guests of Alpha
Delta Mu chapter of Beta
Sigma Phi International Sone-
ty met Tuesday, Oct. 27, at the
hone of Sandy Coan for a
model meeting
Anita Burke, chairman for
the 1M2 Gulf Coast Area Con-
vention to be held in Portland
next March, paid a short visit
before the meeting began. She
brought the chapter up to date
on how much had thus far been
accomplished in preparation
for the upcoming week
After the opening ritual and a
short business meeting,
members presented a skit for
their guests on the meaning of
Alpha Delta Mu's different
committees Each member
represented a different piece of
a jigsaw puzzle, or committee,
and after each piece of the puz-
zle told about their committee,
it was explained by narrator
Ann Mane Brunkenhoefer, how
the pieces all interlocked and
worked together to become
one
Following the skit, members
all joined hands and asked the
guests to join hands with them,
welcoming them to join Alpha
Delta Mu.
Refreshments of sausage,
cheese, crackers, white wine
and iced tea were served to

Coastal Bend Toastmistress
Club of Corpus Christi met at
the Chung Met Restaurant
recently with 15 members pre-
sent.
Chairwoman of the Oct. 23
Founder's Day celebration,
Bette Harris, gave a report on
the plans, including the joint
celebration effort of Interna-
tional Toastmistress Clubs 43rd
year with the Sand Dollar and
Corpus Christ! Bay Clubs on a
local level.
Program speakers of the
evening’s program were: Carol
Collette of Portland on the sub-
ject "I Have A Friend", Betty
Frela on "How to Make a Ter-
rarium” complete with the
finished product, and Donna
Edeen on Ronald Reagan's
Social Security Program. What
Does It Mean to You?”.
Coastal Bend Toastmistress
club meets at 7 pm. the first
and third Mondays of each

the area convention to be held
here in March
A Halloween social was plan-
ned for later in October.
Refreshments were served
while members helped to make
bags to carry chapter year-
books

Preceptor Eta Xi met last
week at the home of Flo Habb
Mary Magee, vice president,

The new chapter's meeting
time'was changed from the se-
cond and fourth Monday of the
month to the second and fourth
