Comanche precinct needa a sim-
ilar tax either in its Commission-
ers or Justice Precinct. Such a
tax would yield over $5,000 per
year and with this excellent roads
can be ouilt if the present plana
are adhered to in fixing up the
main highways first.
Conversing nith Judge McMil-
lan on the plan, he thinks it is
proper solution of the road pro-
blem about Comanche. Someone
needs to get busy and go after the
matter. »
The Y .M. B. L. must get busy
and get behind the move. We need
the roads. Thia is the best avail-
able plan. A road tax will carry.
If we do not have it, it is our fault.

Lamkin News.
All the students, faculty and pa-
trons enjoyed a moonlight picnic
at the school building Friday
night. The band furnished music,
which was enjoyed by everyone,
(James were played utter which re-
freshments were .served; and as
the hour was late we all went home
‘declaring Lamkin was the place
tq have good times.
The Mothers’ club met Friday
night, the 6th at the auditorium
for a business meeting. Commit-
tees made reports. A new pro-
gram wns read for next meeting.
The club decided to get up a play
in the near future.
Mr. and Mrs ,C. P. Harwell gave
a party Saturday night. All had
a good time.
Quite a number of our people
went to the circus Monday night
Rev. Thomas caine to chapel
Monday morning and gave us a
nice lecture.
The Cotton Belt, Demonstration
