Party for Miss Lois Honea
A charming hospitality of last
week was held Friday evening
when Mrs. E. D. Dunlap, Miss Mat-
tie Bailey, and Miss Lora Hemphill
were co-hostesses at an informal
party honoring Miss Lois Honea,
who was leaving for McAllen. Miss
Honea has accepted the position of
instructor of public school music
for the McAllen schools, a position
she has held here for the past sev-
eral years.
A group of the honoree's close J
friends made up the personnel of
the guests. Informality was the key-
note of the evening's diversion as
games, contests, and conversation
were enjoyed.
Delicious refreshments of snnd-
wlches, date loaf cake, and coffee
were served the following: The
honoree, Misses Henriola Gregg,
Ruth Lewis, Claudine Innes, Lucille
Martin, Betty Bridges, Leona Mac-
key, Rebecca Davis, Willie Mae
