the Hearts Delight Garden Club.
Mrs. Neil Rupp assisted Mrs. Puc-

was featured by a discussion of
summer garden needs by Mrs. J.
Britt Dekle. Mrs. F. L. Vickrey
briefly reviewed several Garden
Books of value to garden enthusi-
asts and Mrs. A. B Blake interest-
ingly discussed Pelarganiums. Mrs.

Miss Mary Luckett of St. Louis,
field representative of the Ameri-
can National Red Cross, address-
ed the Falfurrias Federaiton of
Church Women Thursday after-
noon at the Presbyterian Church.
Miss Luckett outlined an educa-
tional program on home nursing
which consists of a 24 hour course

left Corpus Christi oneday earlier
this week with eight other young-
sters for Houston for final check-
up before being sent to San Diego.
Calif., for enlistment in the U. S.
Navy.
The others include Melber A.
White ami John A. Emery, both of
Corpus Christi, who plan to enlist
for flight training, and Jack Kel-
lam Clementson of Alice, Gerald
Neilse Gunderland, Robert Albert
Winsett, Howard Glenn Olsen and
Harry Phillips Ogg. all of Corpus
Christi, and Walter Wesley Lloyd
of Driscoll, who are enlisting for
the regular Navy.
