T. M. Sharp, rug demonstrator for
tlie Ricardo Home Demonstration
Club was awarded a blue ribbon
for first place.
The rug that Mrs. Sharp exhibit-
ed was made of all wool material
in shades of green with rose und
red purples In an original design
which she named "Lilies and Lily
Pads” and hooked frimly into a
background of burlap.
Mrs. Sharp has sold several
hooked rugs the past year; her
customers having found that these
’‘heirlooms of tomorrow” ure es-
pecially lovely with antique furni-
ture.

greeted visitors at the Home Dem-
onstration Section of tlie Agricul-
tural Show, Miss Lola Massey ex-
hibited a jar in each of the eleven
items on the premium list. When
points were counted. Miss Massey
had eighteen points, with the next
highest having eight, points, which
proves that “there was quality ns
well us quantity” in Miss Massey’s
exhibit.
Miss Massey lias produced a lim-
ited amount of pickles for sale,
which have been approved as stan-
dard to sell under the “Retter 4-H
Products” label, by Miss Zethu Mc-
Innis, Extension Specialist in
Home Industries, A. & M. College.
Miss Massey expects to enlarge on
her pickle work next year.
