Prieta, Mexico, who have been get-
ting $10 per day, have struck for
$15. Chinese gamblers are taking
their places. Why not?
Mrs. J. G. Lindsey, who was in
town Tuesday,-told the Tribune
man that in a short time she sav-
ed enough money to pay for the

Rev. J. B. Kerr, a Presbyterian
minister who is in charge at Tolar
Morgan Mill, Exray and Lingle-
ville, was here Monday seeking a
residence in which to place his
family. He has had his house-
hold goods shipped from Grand
Saline.

ing that field mice are so numer-
ous they are destroying growing
corn. The harmless little screech
owl is a mouse and rat catcher,
and should not be killed. The
mouse snake is also a farmer’s
friend. It should not be killed.
The section of the Washington
street bridge eas.t of the Barnes
residence is made dangerous to
school children by auto speed
fiends, artd the down grade east of
the Frisco railroad is another
favorite place where speed fiends
desire to send some child to the
grave yard. Spotters should be
placed near these two places.
