Win in Lohn’s Tourney
A tall. sharp-shooting Centennial
team won thv boys cnintpion»hip
Saturday night in the Ix»hn In-
vitational tt&i-kvthall Tcurnament.
In thsir marvh to the title, the
Centennial boy* (from Yaiera, in
Coleman County) whipped Faint
Rock, 61-17, downed Rochelle, 37-
_7, and then defeated the Lohn
Eagles ir the final*. 54-27.
Paint Rock won the boys conso-
lation with a 33-29 victory over
Motelie.
Among the girl* team?. Paint
Rock won the championship by
ousting Centennial, 62-24. The
Paint Rock girls had bested Ro-
chelle, 62-24. in the first round and
Motelie, 69-21. in the semi-final*.
The Lohn girls won the consola-
tion with a 43-32 win over Taira.
After the chan- ionship matches
Saturday night, Lohn Supt. C. A.
Cole presented six trophies, to the
.first, second, and consolation win-'
ners in both boys and girls divi-
sions.

In the boys championship game,
the Lohn Eagles simply couldn’t
handle the taller, long-armed Cen-
tennial boys. Centennial took a
11-7 lead in the first period, made
it 25-13 at the half. 41-7 in the
third quarter, and finished ahead,
54-27.
Centennial's Danny Cagle was
the hottest man on the court,
dropping in 25 points. Teammates
